The Lamplight Poetry Reading is a space that accommodates to any and every skill level of poet and performer. We believe that poetry is intrinsically valuable and that using your voice to express your words and thoughts is one of the most courageous and bold endeavors that anyone could attempt. Our space is an equal playing field specifically created in a manner which allows for all performers and poets regardless whether you are a first-timer, an amateur, a professional poet, or even a poet-laureate. At Lamplight everyone is welcome, and everyone is allowed the same respect for self-expression and artistic aesthetic. We love poetry and want to spread that love to our audience and our performers. Join us on Sundays to participate or even as an audience member for exceptional spoken word and poetry from up-and-coming as well as seasoned poets!
